  Its directly on the beach, sitting in the morning having breakfast overlooking the sea is just relaxing. The breakfast is really great lots of fresh fruits love itttt ,)) nice staff the owner is kind and very helpfull. Its surrounding neighborhood made the stay very convenient with a 24 hour "padaria" (Brazilian bakery/small convenience shop), drugstores, great restaurants, and pubs to hang out at night.   Cleaners never minded cleaning your room very late in the day; and the reception staff were helpful from start to finish. Nice rooms, no complaints at all really. - Location in Ipanema close to the beach, the shopping and the lagoa was perfect! Small room but perfect for one solo traveller.

  I was a bit worried, after reading some negative reviews here, but the hotel was actually quite good, for Rio standards at least. The standard room I had needed some redecorating for sure, but it was very spacious and had a fantastic city view. I was up on the 18th floor, so it was not noisy at all, but it might be more for the lower floors.   I was upgraded to an ocean view room. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a magnificent view - as had the gym and the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was excellent, as would be expected for a hotel of its level. The gym was very well equipped. Location is excellent - right across from the beach. He was genuine and sincere of our needs and surprised us with champagne when he found out it was our 20 years wedding anniversary. We remember him out of the many hotels we visited to four countries in our first South America trip.
