This is the second time I have been to De Joker. I stayed in a different room this time. A beautifully presented stand alone studio with a separate/private entrance. Kitchen, small dining table, seating area, TV, comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Wonderful service yet again. I would gladly recommend and I'm sure I will stay here again. Owners was friendly and helpful. They gave us a nice and introduction. We stayed in the suite with balcony and it was a neat, romantic, large, duplex room. Room has its own kitchenette and it was nice making our own dinner. Not much to see in this area but it was a base for us for Brussels and Antwerp so it was OK.
alla recensioner » A lovely, family house in the suberbs of Turnout, Belgium. Beautifully kept, lovely garden and very friendly and efficient owners. Rooms provided with small kitchenette and beer, wine and water. Ideal as a stop over on route to Germany from UK. I stayed @ De Joker during my business trip in Belgium. The rooms are very-very original and well designed! The shower (bathroom) is excellent, there is a small kitchen in it, and the rooms are big. The staff is very friendly and kind!. Excellent hosts, superb room, easy of parking my motorcycle. Great and expansive breakfast. The whole visit was fabulous. Given the very cold weather the room was warm, very clean and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend. The room was lovely, the value was amazing, the owners were so helpful providing me with an individually wrapped toothbrush, toothpaste and comb, the breakfast was SUPER LEKKER and I had a really restful evening. Everything, very peaceful location, very friendly host who provided good information of the area. The breakfast was wonderful and will certainly stay here again if I can get in as it is very popular. the location how clean the lodgings were breakfast was very good area was nice and peaceful i wll be booking a trip over for my wife and myself later in year. I liked having access to a kitchen although wish I had known before hand so I could have bought something to cook instead of having eaten before I got there. The quiet, cleanliness, but especially the friendly and competent hospitality. A place where you find, to speak with Beaudelaire: "Luxe, calme et volupte"... The hosts were really welcoming. There is on-street parking right in front of the house and my room had its own front door so privacy is guaranteed. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good selection and healthy. Homely stay. very quiet environment extremely friendly hosts nice room with garden view superb breakfast. A beautiful well presented guest house, totally stylish,relaxed and enjoyable to stay at. All the facilities were great, and the breakfast was excellent. - nice braekfast, with service - quite - privicy. very Customer orientated. Perfect room. very good and well appointed. Everything was great!. Clean and comfortable. we like evrything. Everything. Everything. Super. There were only 2 tea bags and one koffie creamer. But I sent a text to the owners to ask for a little milk and a few more tea bags. Within 5 minutes these were delivered to my door with a chocolate bar and some sweeties. This was free of charge. There is nothing I don't like about this B&B. Breakfast could be better. Croissants are small and limited. Also juices/coffee are not in the open. But considering the room quality it's not a problem. There was nothing to dislike. Nothing. if I had to choose something, the blinds on the windows did not block out all the light, but it did not stop me sleeping like a baby. The two single beds pushed today. I kept falling down the middle! Also the lighting in the room was poor. If you travel by bicycle, you have quite a way to ride back to Turnhout to find a good place to eat. By car it's no problem. ok for relaxation, not much within walking distant. A short drive will take you to nearby restaurants and Turnhout city. the bed was a bit too hard for me. Nothing it was all and more than expected. Nothing. no dressing table mirror. nothing.
