  Katja, the owner, was extremely welcoming and friendly. She offered us a cup of tea as soon as we arrived! The family room was large, spacious and comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. We loved the peaceful rural location, but enjoyed being so close to Ypres and the WW1 sites. The breakfast was magnificent - and our teenage childre... vad folk säger » n were most impressed to find apple flan and bars of chocolate on the menu alongside the healthier options! - Katya was an excellent hostess and went out of her way to be friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, warm and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and had some lovely special touches. We would highly recommend a stay here if you were visiting Ypres or the surrounding area.

  This was my first time in a B&B on the continent, although a seasoned traveller, I usually find myself slave to the Accor hotel chain. On arrival, we were welcomed at the door by Peter who has to be the friendliest hotelier ever! We were shown to our rooms and breakfast was arranged completely around us. We opted for the continental breakfast ... vad folk säger » which was buffet style but plentiful and varied. On top of this Peter was there to offer us eggs as we liked and bacon. The rooms are quite spacious a - Handy for the main square for dining, the Cloth Hall in the centre of Ypres and an easy walk to the Menin Gate. A warm welcome, nice cooked breakfast at a time to suit the guest not the Hotel. The picture in the dining room of two stone masons working on the lion that sits on top of the Menin Gate took on a whole new significance when Peter told us that the stone masons were his great and great great grandfathers. No reason not to stay here again and probably will

  Our host was fantastic - we arrived earlier than we were supposed to and she invited us to come in - our room (the King Room) was beautiful and looked out onto the garden. The gardens were gorgeous and the owner even let us use her own personal bicycle because the guest bicycles were already in use. Breakfast was abundant and delicious - homemade jams, cheeses, breads and pastries, eggs, fre - The owner was very friendly. She was onsite and was happy to share local info with us. She prepared a wonderful full breakfast for us. The room was modern and superclean. Wifi signal was strong. I will book here again. The town was also beautiful and interesting. The shopkeepers were happy and helpful. The sense of pride in thier town was evident, the architecture is something to see.
