  We stayed for seven nights with our family (2 Adults 2 children (Age 7 &5)) and had a 2 bedroom apartment. The space and layout was great and practical. The view was also lovely. The staff were also helpful and when needed they truly provided exceptional customer service. Our children loved the pool and spent most days there. Great place to relax but with a lot of holiday entertainment close by. Staff were great at contacting us to advise what we needed to do for a late check-in and provided easy to follow instructions.   We really liked the proximity to everything and especially the beach. The facilities were great and the family enjoyed it.   The location can't be beaten if you want to look at the city. We had the trains and buses at the door and only a block away from Kurilpa Pedestrian Bridge which gives access to the Southbank with only a 10 min walk. The staff were friendly and obliging. This is a great spot to explore from. We enjoyed being almost across the road from Rom - The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer,and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

  My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was beautifully decorated and the layout of the rooms was nice. We loved sitting out on the balconies' at night relaxing and listening to the local wildlife. Donna and Rick were a pleasure to deal with, very friendly and helpful.   We thought the staff were very accommodating. They really made us feel welcome. I also thought the breakfast was really good.   The rooms are very comfortable for two people to stay in and the view from our room was outstanding. The location of the hotel was central on the main street of Port Douglas which made everything in the street seem so close no matter where we were headed. We loved the pool and made sure we used it daily!
