Melbourne is only 75 minutes’ drive away. Hummingbird Retreat features rainwater tanks, solar panels and an organic garden with fruit and vegetables. The Hummingbird Eco Edible Art Organic Café can cater to special dietary requirements. Free Wi-Fi access is provided. All accommodation includes air conditioning and heating. There is also an iPod docking station and en suite bathroom in each room.

Loved the personalised attention from the staff who were never too busy to attend to us. Loved the fact that what we ate in their cafe was picked straight from the garden while we watched. Open fires and atmosphere in common areas and our rooms were warm and cosy and views of nature were divine. Heaps of wildlife to watch too. Having yoga and massage onsite was a treat for us also. Friendly enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, wonderful locally sourced food which was beautifully prepared and great choice of local wine and beers served in a dining room with log burning stove and exposed beams. Great natural surroundings, comfortable bed and awesome recovered furniture giving the room character.
alla recensioner » All the staff were friendly and gave a relaxed vibe without being inattentive. The breakfast in the retreat cafe was excellent. They had interesting and delicious juice and smoothie combinations. The bread they use was ace and our eggs were well prepared. The view from our room was lovely. Very comfortable Chef very willing to accomodate my child with allergies. Made special pancakes for her which were not on the menu. Staff very laid back and relaxed. Relaxed environment. Staff, food was amazing, chickens running around outside, the puppy, scrabble in the rec room, did I mention food? Super comfy beds and location is perfect for the wineries. Staff we're very friendly. I felt like it was a return trip to some where I am a regular. Room was very comfy , bed was super and heating worked a treat when needed. _Friendly reception service _room decor was cosy _personalised checkin into the room _organic garden and chickens _freshness of produce. Our room was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the staff were lovely and very helpful! We would definitely stay there again. loved the staff, Jane in particular was very friendly and helpful. The fact we were only there one night!. Our room was very cosy as advertised. Staff did not ensure bathroom was re-stocked with shower gel, shampoo etc. They sounded terrific and natural but didn't get the opportunity to try them.Lucky I had bought my own.I am sure that the staff would have responded had I asked them to re- fill however I did not notice until I was already in the shower. For the cost of the room I had expected breakfast to be included. _Delayed breakfast service for providing aour juices over 30mins and breakfast took 45mins _stained towel, though clean. We were downstairs and frequently woken by noise of coming from above our room. wasn't much to not like, I would like a really evolved menu in the restaurant with more focus on vegan, superfoods etc. a bit of warning of entrty -hard in the dark!. Lumpy, steep driveway into the place, no connection to the radio so we could listen to a radio station. - No television in room. - No refrigerator in room. We had to drive 25 mins away for food if we didn't want to eat at their cafe. Location is rather far from all other attractions, destinations No TV, but I guess that's okay coz it's Eco-friendly. We had the room next to the kitchen (room 7) which was a little noisey until about 9.30 pm. Internet was poor. But overall love it!!!. all sounds from adjoining rooms echoed through the building. Could hear taps running and toilets flushing. Persons walking across the wooden floors in high heels in the rooms.Bathroom did not have vanity pack only 3 sanitary bags. The driveway getting into the place was very bumpy. Lack of room service aad general attention to detail in the room. I did not appreciate having to put the electric kettle on the floor to make a cup of tea because there was no wall outlet at the bench/table, two of the three dispensers in the shower were empty, and the room was not quite clean. Small things but they reduced my rating from great to quite good. Basin needs to be replaced. We were charged full price for two cold meals - they were without power - thus the cold meals. They really should not have charged us full price.
