Each compact yet well-appointed studio apartment has a double bed or 2 single beds, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Guests have access to shared laundry facilities. Free WiFi access is available. The restaurants, cafés and bars of Lygon Street are within 10 minutes’ walk. Flemington Racecourse is a 15-minute drive away and it is a 10-minute drive to Melbourne Showgrounds. State Netball and Hockey Centre is only 3 km away.

As I was very busy day and night, I didn't spend much time in the room, however the City Edge Apartments had everything I needed for my very short stay in Melbourne and the location was fantastic and also very convenient. No frills but I highly recommend for location and value. Everything, Location to the hospital, Vic Market, shops (supermarket) trams. etc .. We were very pleased and will stay there again.

Lovely eastern europeon pub close by. The fact that it was so close to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where my daughter was for a week. Tea and coffee in rooms Proximity to cbd. Convenient to where I was working. The beds. Nearby the marketing. easy nearby parking and trams. Close to the city. Tram just across the road. Room was clean and warm. Room ok if you are out all day and just need a base camp. Good location, right next to tram line, and close to the city. Great location and very comfortably room. If I picked a negative it would be the shower nozzle needed fixing, but all in all, I was satisfied. I didn't like that the blind on the balcony window was way too small for the size of the window and our kettle stopped working after the first night. The room was way too small to the point of being claustaphobic. That there was nowhere to hang clothes and no coat hangers! We were in town for a wedding so did find this oversight puzzling!. Could have used a SECOND chair. Water pressure in the shower. Would have liked clean towels daily. Not told that in the most rooms there is a wooden wall beween the beds. bed jammed up against wall on one side. (Will insist in island set up next time (lose the large side table)). only one thing my shower had no where to put soap ect, i beleive it had been broken and not fixed. Street lights came in the room all night as blinds on sliding door only cover part of door. Air con did not work when we got there. Dirty crockery. Ironing board with great holes in it. Very dirty spattered wall in bathroom - would have been easy to clean. Unfriendly staff. Remote for TV not working, Bedside light not working, Cooking facilities not working, reception staff on check in very rude. gave over a weeks notice but still could not get credit or refund on one night booked that we were not able to use. What a waste of $200. I understand this is policy, but with notice and a good reason there should be some opportunity for at least a credit. Couldn't get the heating to work, check in desk wasn't staffed before 9am or after 4.30 pm so difficult to ask for assistance. The after hour service is really bad. The bed mattress was really bad & so the pillows as they were so thin. We couldn't sleep & got up with sore back & sore neck. The customer service were very poor & not helpful when we asked how can we get to the city or to the airport. We had to work it out on our own.
