  The location was perfect really central and close to the main attractions. The hostel was clean comfortable and the staff were really helpful. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Very family friendly. Staff was extremely helpful. They booked a trip to the Sydney Zoo for us that included the Hop-on, Hop-off boat tour of the harbors and saved us $. Very clean. Big tv room with DVDs available. Super bars-restaurants nearby. Food at The Glenmore was really good with big screen tvs for sports.

  The hotel staff were extremely friendly. The location was really good and if you're feeling super lazy you can pay 44 dollars for a week long pass for all the public transport in the city centre.   I had the unfortunate situation of having a migraine headache on the morning we were leaving but had several hours to pass before making our way to our cruise ship. My fellow travellers went for a walk whilst I sat in the reception area. The manager after asking me if I had been "left behind" I explained my problem, she very kindly took me to a ve... vad folk säger » ry quiet lounge room where I could relax & wait for my companions return before going straight to the ship. This lady's kindness was above and bey - Craig, the manager, was a treat and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of terrific views of the Opera House and Harry's Cafe de Wheels. They have a handout that provides lots of tips about how to get around Sydney and things to do while in town. It was our first trip to Sydney and we only could stay one day before heading to Tonga, but we will return someday for a longer stay and would definitely consider staying at Mariners Court again.

  My favourite hostel where I always stay in Sydney, probably stayed there for 2 months in total. Location is perfect, staff is friendly, rooms are good and clean in general.   Anderledy Lodge, part of the Mary MacKillop complex, is small scale hotel nestled among trees and gardens near the centre of North Sydney.   We were two young female backpackers and it was an experience we will never forget....We liked the staff (pretty sure seeing them all dressed like girls was probably why haha)...when we first arrived they offered us free goon....mmmm...played some games ;p had a night out on the town :) they showed us where to get pizza...great atmosphere...   The communal area was huge with free wifi and good sized kitchen, really nice roof terrace but would be even better if wifi was available up there, but then I suppose it would be packed every day!   I usually stay here when I visit Sydney. It's right in the heart of the CBD and very cheap.
