  Ligger bra. - The fact that it was an old wool store business converted and the facade was left in tact. I loved the big old black doors and the floor mosaic telling us what the building had been used for in the past. Has any history of the building been kept to view while staying at the Oaks Goldsborough, Darling Harbour?? I probably would never had booked after reading shoddy reviews. Well, was I pleasantly suprised! I stayed with my 15 year old daughter, and were on the 12th floor. This place ticks all the boxes. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hair drier wasn't working in my room - house keeping replaced it straight away.   As an Events Manager I had traveled from nz to organised a ladies night out for a friends birthday at the Sheraton Sydney. As soon as we walked in the doors we were treated like princesses and the service continued till we were spoilt rotten. I was raised up with lavished hotels so I have high and fussy expectations. The bathroom bat - We found the hotel to be great - its location, staff, and comfort would be hard to beat. We certainly will be returning. The room we had was a corner room that faced out to the park which was lovely and it also had a extremely comfortable bed. The full breakfast available in the dining room had everything anyone could ask for from hot porridge through to bread and butter pudding with whipped cream.   My husband and I, loved the location , as it was walking distance to cafes, buses , ferry, shops, Sydney harbour, Opera house and trains. We loved the comfy bed and pillows so much we haven't slept as well since arriving home. The staff were so wonderful as they followed up on our tour booking for the next day ,which we didn't expect. It was awesome. Nothing was too mu - Very comfortable and quiet hotel in an excellent location. Staff offered us a reasonably priced upgrade to a harbour view room which we accepted. Beautiful room on a high floor and lovely view. Great bathroom with separate shower which I prefer. We had a room service late snack which arrived promptly. Quality of food was average but as we only had the mushroom soup other options could have been tastier. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices for a a wide variety of cultures.

  Having been to Sydney several times staying at different hotels each time (4 or 5 stars),we always break up our stays with two hotels for variety. The Intercontinental on Circular Quay had the most professional,helpful and friendliest staff of all the hotels we've stayed at in Sydney. We managed to get the room at a reasonable rate and took advantage of this. The - loved the location perfect for access to see the Opera Carmen at Mrs Macquaire :Point. Loved being able to walk through Royal Botanical Gardens (had a picnic) and easy acces to shopping with the free green bus just up the road. Our view from 2218 was excellent - we were really thrilled. Big thanks to the Conceirges who made our requests for massages and restaurants easy.
