We stayed here the night before starting our hinchinbrook island hike. Steve was amazing - he picked us up from the bus stop the night before, drove us to the port the next day and agreed to store our luggage until we got back. The room was very comfortable with a direct beachfront view. The motel is close to shops etc.

Superb hospitality & service, cozy rooms and a "million dollar view" as a bonus. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to visit Hinchinbrook Island or wants to enjoy peaceful scenic coastal areas around Cardwell.
A million dollar view over the beach and Hinchinbrook Is. Very friendly
and accomodating staff. Very clean and comfortable, a large airy room
with adequate bathroom facilites. We really didn't want to move out.
The room was spacious, clean, well appointed, and had a pretty view of the beach. Our reception was warm and friendly, even though we arrived late in the evening. And the recommendation for dinner was great!.
Owners Steve and Janet were a terrific, friendly and helpful couple who
made us feel most welcome. The clean, pleasant rooms overlook the
beautiful Cardwell seaside. A great stay at a great price.
Right beside the ocean, looking out over Hinchinbrook Channel, this friendly hotel is close to the shops of Cardwell, the beach and the North Queensland countryside. Excellent for a short stay.
Still in rebuild phase after Yasi, but brilliant position on the beach, very comfortable, and managed by a couple who were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Location and view was good.
Lots of reconstruction still going on all around Cardwell after cyclone YASI - but as soon as it is finished Cardwell will really shine.
There wasn't a washing machine, which would be useful for a longer stay.

On the web page both my husband and I looked at on separate occasions it listed the $95 accom option as having the same facilities as the other options ie.more room including a kitchenette (so we took our own food to cook but couldn't use it) more space, ironing facilities etc.We were certainly misled by the info on the website and very disappointed.
Nothing.
Cockroaches.
Small rooms, no table or chairs. Noise from other guests snoring and talking. Walls paper thin. Parking not secure. Only basic amenities. Not value for money. Not suitable for regular travellers. Check credit card policies before booking. We had to pay CASH up front.
