  Great location! Only one block away from the city centre & the other direction is the Melbourne museum. Modern accomadation with neat & tidy rooms. Kitchen was large & spacious & always appeared clean. Sunny days the roofs sun deck is perfect to catch a tan. I was concerned that I would be staying a a dive but I was rapt with the facilities, price, and location of Space in Melbourne. I will be staying again even if I was travelling on my own! I was amazed that there was even a Movie theatre.

  So close to Southern Cross Station for early morning departure on Overland train next day. Close to Convention Centre only a couple of stops away on the tram for attending a conference. I was still able to have free breakfast in the morning even though I was ready to check out before 7am when breakfast normally starts.   The location is perfect, close to everything thanks to Flinders Station and the tram, but you can just walk as well. The bathrooms are clean, and the kitchen as clean as it can be in a backpacker.   The staff was awesome. The reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, all so friendly. It was clean, and the hotel is near the station, and very close to the famous Chapel Street (Restaurants/Shopping) Very good value for money, and the room was comfortable. I would surely go to the Claremont next time I am on holidays around Melbourne. I do ... vad folk säger » recommend it to students/backpakers/travellers/couples and anybody who is looking for a very 'good value for money' hotel, cheap, and (close to town). - It is not a luxury hotel and is at the lower end of the price scale, but it is excellent for what it was. The place was kept immaculately clean and the staff were assiduous and very helpful. They were extremely good in serving breakfast, which was another bonus, and the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this hotel superb value. It is right beside South Yarra Metro station, which has very frequent service 6 minute to and from the central part of Melbourne.
