Good location to tram, city. Room was clean, my room was a bit more updated than the other rooms friends stayed in. Nice large rooms. Comfortable bed. Excellent value - if out for the days, ideal hotel. Room service was good variety. Close to restaurants. Hospitallity was spot on.We arrived late and the friendly staff were very helpful and courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable after travelling 700k's and no outside noise noticed while in the room.
alla recensioner » The convenience of being so close to the free inter city tram, we were able to go to right into town, the Casino and down to Glenelg and the wonderful Central Market in Victoria Square. very good value.Simple affordable , clean. When we arrived there was no convenient parking close to the main entrance and had to search for an appropriate spot to park and walk in the rain about 80 metres to the reception area. Lot of recent wet weather had the pathway between booking in and our room water soaked and muddy/slippery. No dislikes. Actually nothing !. N/A. Fire alarm at 2 in the morning !!!!!. we stayed for 4 days and arranged for my brother in law to stay the same time they told for that time we will put you into a quite room, we were put back to the next big hotel air conditioning unit which went all night. Room needs some updating. no biscuits for midnight snack. no sign out front that stated clearly marked what the motel ws called. Tv didn't really work Rooms needed updating slightly People in rooms next to mine were very noisy so didn't get to sleep much. Smoke alarms went of at 8am Water in shower went cold when ever someone had water on in their room. Vents were dusty. Floors were cleaned but not well e.g. dust/fluff in the corners of the room & behind/ underneath chairs & table that hadn't been moved. Double bed was inadequate. leaking toilet. hair on the bathroom floor. Room was very tired and rundown but was what we expected for the price we paid.We were on a tight budget so it was suitable for us. Unfortunately located next to a school, was very noisy while trying to sleep as children use lane way behind hotel. No Shower curtain, the hot and cold taps on handbasin fell off each time it was turned on. The door was grubby looking there was no spare roll of toilet paper . The plug for boiling the kettle has been removed; had to move jug to another bench, We asked for the advertiser for the moring, it was not delivered. The shower was very hot almost scolding then freezing. Bathroom fan squealed. The beds. very uncomfortable. bathroom just was a little bit grotty, not realy bad just a little. staff not that helpful. Bed linen needed to be replaced (frayed and worn bedspreads). Not near any decent places for meals. We were disappointed in the condition of the premises. Even the bedding was poor. no vendor machine,,broken dryer...shower went hot then cold all the time. Rooms should be renovated and needs new beds and bed cover. Cupboard is terrible, coffee tea making facilities good except no teaspoon. we are regular guests at grand chifley this time in adelaide for medical reason could not get rm at g chifley because of cricket had to take country comfort at double price will not stay again or at grand chifley or chifley. I dont think anyone had been in the room for awhile as there was dust on the table and bench. The fridge had not been checked as there were a bag of lollies left from who was ever last there. For the price charged we could have got somewhere else cleaner and newer. They put a hold on my credit card for an extra $100 for possible damages, it said nothing about this when booking room, room was old, smelt old and musty, not good! Could have got a cheaper better room!.
