It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. This hotel is stunning! Its a beautiful place to stay and looks even better when you are there. I stayed with my mother and it was a pleasant visit really comfortable, clean and rooms are big enough.

This hotel is a gem in Buenos Aires! Located in the city center, at walking distance from the Casa Rosada and the Buquebus departure port, it is a must if you love the atmosphere of the Buenos Aires in the 1950-60 and the tango. The hotel is like a wee museum full of memorabilia related to Buenos Aires' top Tango stars. The breakfast is fantastic (buffet). The staff is very helpful and friendly. Do not miss it!!

a very long flight and got our rooms 8 hours before normal check-in
time. They arrange transfer to/from airport for a decent rate, give
