The service from a very friendly and accommodating staff who were most helpful, pleasant and willing to laugh with us. The food was superb and varied with an excellent menu. How they hold onto a chef like Michael is perhaps a testament to the relaxed management techniques practiced by Angela and John who were willing to 'muck in' when the workload required it. We would have no hesitation in recommending and/or revisiting the 'Heifer' in the future. Thanks to all concerned. все обзоры »
The staff were courteous and pleasant. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We had evening meals on both nights of our stay and the food was excellent with a wide variety of dishes to choose from and high quality produce. We were very lucky with the weather so the views of the morning sun over the fields and hills were delightful. The room was basic but very clean. Outstanding value for money!.
The staff , lovely people whom worked really hard but kept a smile for everyone Nice simple rooms ,great value for money in a fantastic place .Lovely .Felt totally relaxed and would have stayed another night if we would've known how nice it was .Home from home feel .Plus the best pie in the land baked there .
staff were helpful and cheerful despite coping with the result of heavy snow conditions outside and few visitors as a result. They lent me an extra duvet and heater for the room as the weather was very cold. the food was good and the restaurant staff nice and quietly efficient.
We were part of a motorcycle group visiting Yorkshire. We all stayed at the Craven Heifer Inn and thought it was good value for money. Good menu choice in the restaurant. Rooms were basic and clean and staff were friendly. Lovely countryside location. Would stay here again.
Ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the Continental breakfast was very good.
The staff were very accommodating when one family arrived late for breakfast - good service!.
It was very convenient to use to break a long journey. would certainley return but would book ealier and hopefully get a better located room. we had n0 20 and had the noise from the kitchen until it closed.
We really enjoyed our stay, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was superb and location was excellent, bonus was the real ales, which were well kept and good variety, shame we had to come away.
Our room had a view, we could see the sheep on the hills from the window, covered in ice one morning and looked beautiful. lovely food and great breakfast, friendly people here. Excellent value.
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure our needs and requests were met, even trying to clear a blocked drain right outside our front door.
All staff were superb, as was the food. Slept well in a comfortable, small room. Great value for money. My wife and I would definitely stay again, and recommend to friends.
The setting was lovely accommodation clean and practical but not very private

A neat homely hotel at a great price with breakfast included. Good value dinner served at night. Lovely surrounding countryside.
We have stayed here before and will certainly stay here again, the food is good and it is a very friendly atmosphere.
Privately owned - a good indicator of a quality experience. The food was also quality and surprisingly innovative.

Polite helpful staff. Excellent food. Bedroom very basic but clean and comfortable. Easy access to Skipton.
Extremely friendly staff. Very clean comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant with well cooked, good value food.
we stayed at the Craven Heifer and found everything to be what you expect in an excellent hotel in the dales.
I really liked how warm the room was, considering the hideous freeze outside. Also, the views are amazing!.
Over all very friendly and food choice good. Buffet breakfast selection excellent. Rooms a little dated.
Staff were welcoming; friendly and helpful, food was excellent, and rooms comfortable; quiet and clean.

food is perfect (the best pie I ever had).
Good food and ale - very welcoming and helpful. Good value for money.
Food excellent quality and value with wide choice of daily specials.
Edge of town location, good food, friendly management & staff.
Room, whilst clean and comfortable was perhaps a little tired especially the bathroom. Only a bit of TLC required tho'.
I would have liked an armchair to relax in-but then I am getting on a bit!.
Having to cross the open courtyard - it was blowing a gale - to get to our food - perhaps that's nice in good weather but it was minus 6 degrees and blowing a gale!.
Because the inn is very popular, it gets busy on a Saturday evening. We had booked a table for our evening meal, and unfortunately, had to wait almost an hour for our meal to be served after placing our order. The waitress did apologise.
No bath,(like to soak after walking),otherwise nothing.
The door to our cottage was difficult to access when we arrived due to very heavy rain - we had to improvise our own stepping stones!.
No complaints whatsoever.
Would have liked the offer of a full English breakfast and thought the restraunt food looked a bit expensive couldn't fault anything else.
The room was spartan and also quite cold. I was happy enough as we had got it on a deal but would have been very dissapointed if I had paid full price.
The only thing we could find falt with was a shelf could be placed in
the shower room as we had no room to place our toiletries on.
The rear rooms are close to noisy extractor fans and working kitchen. So not ideal for good nights sleep.
Good food needs to be cooked well.
Very little soundproofing in room. Could actually hear neighbour's extractor fan in bathroom and bathroom light being switched on and off. Even heard their kettle boiling!! Did not sleep well because of this.
n/a.
I was on business, and had no table / desk to work in my room. And a wireless link would have been advantagous (and would happlily have paid for it).
My creaky mattress, and also the room was VERY basic indeed.
nothing.
rooms not very soundproof but not a problem during our stay.
Niggles only.
Comfort of bed.
Lack of drawer space.
My wife states that the cleaning staff should use bleach in the toilet.
we were last down for Breakfast - the buffet was looking abit thin.
Would of prefered english breakfast, and a bigger shower.
the decor needs modernising.
not much to say... it's a great place.
Room was cold in the morning - heating appeared to be switched off.
Breakfast only available to 9.00am (particularly early at weekends when you are on holiday).
Shower pressure and water temp a bit inconsistent. Not enough room in shower or washbasin area in which to put toiletries whilst washing.
