a real place with pleasant staff not like these corporate brands. We liked staff, we felt welcomed. Very nice and quiet place. We had a very good sleep and rest.Ease of acess from dover port and easy to find. friendly staff,good food,very handy for Dover. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Once we arrived having driven a long way were able to get a nice relaxing drink in the bar. There was plenty of space in the car park for the car and caravan - which was great and very easy to get to Dover Ferry Terminal the following morning. lovely surroundings with friendly staff and clean, comfortable room. Homely feel.Restaurant was especially good and everything else was "pleasant". The reception and service were very good. Convience to Dover. decent room size. customer service. friendly staff. for me it was simply a place to stay before getting the ferry, so its position close to the port was the important thing. The owner was friendly and helpful. Very friendly service, breakfast good too.Friendly welcome, location. Evening meal and breakfast. Good location, nice food. Just TV should be moved from wardrobe to lower level, it was very difficult to watch it.No porterage. poor matress!. breakfast stops at 9am. Bathroom fixtures a little dated. Overall it was good but attention to detail could be better: smallthings like a light bulb which is out and a toilet lid that is loose areeasy to fix but were not in our room. We booked breakfast for 7am andthat was forgotten but a very helpful lady (don't know name but was herbirthday) was brilliant giving us an impromptu breakfast shortly aftershe arrived at the hotel for work..Right next to a main road so very loud at night. Extremely warm and muggy room, dribble of a shower. The room was dark and dated, with very small windows. The radiator in the bathroom didn't work, only a trickle of a shower. It didn't live up to the 4 stars indicated on the website. Room was shabby, peeling wallpaper etc, toilet only worked intermittantly.room very dusty, layer of grime on windowsill, old carpets etc.
