Situated in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of Fox's Path on Cadair Idris, With views of its own 12-acre lake, Gwernan Hotel offers easy access to outdoor activities such as fishing, walking/climbing, and cycling. Guests also benefit from free parking and free Wi-Fi. Each room at Gwernan Hotel feature a flat-screen TV, homemade biscuits, and speciality teas and coffees. Most rooms have an en suite bathroom; 1 of the rooms comes with a private external bathroom which is located just opposite the bedroom. A hearty breakfast is provided every day and it is freshly cooked to order. Locally sourced ingredients are used where possible. The on-site restaurant serves traditional Welsh food 5 nights a week, and the bar has a good selection of fine wines, real ales and a selection of regional bottled beers. Please note that dinner reservation is essential.

The Host and his team were very friendly and left you alone if you wanted privacy but were there to help if and when required. The breakfast was excellent and the whole Hotel was clean, tidy and newly renovated. The scenary and walks were excellent and if you have young kids and want a Beach or Fairground Barmouth is only 6-7 miles away. I would advise anyone to stay at this Hotel you can not help but have a great time with wonderful scenic views all round.

Ridiculously peaceful setting, right at the bottom of the path from the top of Cadair Idris. Oh, food was superb too, both the generous breakfast and a storming evening meal. Everything. Cannot recommend it enough. made very welcome enjoyed our stay and lovely food.We asked for an eary breakfast which the staff was happy to provide for us even on a Sunday! Beautiful hotel and very clean. Beautiful setting, lovely room and great bathroom. Owners were really friendly going out of their way to give advice on fishing and the best walks to go on. This is a lovely hotel in a superb location. The food is amazing! It is too tempting to order yet another bottle of red and bed in for the night...
