I stayed for two nights and was on my own. The room was very small, about 2x2m2 but I didn't need it to be bigger. All I wanted was a place to sleep at night and leave my luggage during the day. There was a double bed in the room, with a very comfortable, hard mattress, a sink, a mirror and a TV. There was also very good wi-fi. It was quiet and clean. Centrally located, super cheap, friendly receptionist. Perfect for me.

The hostel is great! One of the best hostels I have ever seen. Location is amazing, staff is incredibly helpful. Deniz, the manager of the hostel, knows each and every guest by name! Fun, lively, friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfy beds, yummy breakfast, clean and good showers. Castle Hostel is very near to the Blue Mosque so you can just pop there after dinner to enjoy some salep and the buzz. We felt home and definitely stay there next time we go to Istanbul.

I was really impressed the way hospitable and friendly the staff was. They helped us all the time, gave us the needed advice and were always polite. If we had to go to other city, - they showed us the way, if we had a problem, then they solved it easily. The hostel staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed spending time with them.
The hostel is located right near the historic area of Istanbul. You can get in just minutes to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque or Basilica Cistern. It is also very easy to get to the hostel from Sultanahmet tram station.
One big plus is that the hostel was very clean. Also, we had breakfast included in the room price and the hostel had safety boxes to keep our valuables.
