  We spent the night in Vevey the night before heading into the Alpes. It is a lovely town on Lake Geneva and this hotel is a few minutes walk from the trains station and even closer to one of the two docks where it is possible to catch a lake excursion. We had a double room with shared toilet and shower and never had to wait to use either. We had bicycles so it was a nice easy ride to montreux. Room was excellent value for money considering the prices some places were charging. Had a secure place to store our bicycles.

  The location was fantastic with stunning views and easy to find. The bedrooms were very comfortable and although the kitchen was small it was well equipped for self-catering.
