  This is the best hotel we have encountered in 39 years of traveling in the Alps. Great room, great bed, great food, great people. - Lovely hotel with friendly staff and great place to stay if you want to enjoy walking, nature and peacefulness.

  Wonderful stay while hiking the Haute Route in the Swiss Alps. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were wonderful. The food and service were excellent!   Staff was very friendly and attentive staff. The dinner service was excellent. I ate with my two hiking companions in the downstairs dining room which we had all to ourselves as there was a large party going on upstairs. The staff was very attentive and it was a wonderful meal. I had booked a room without an ensuite bathroom but was upgraded for free when I arrived after as - This is a lovely old hotel, with a lot of charm, and a beautiful location. There is an exhibit on the history of the hotel, dating back to the 1860's, which is very interesting and put our stay in context. The staff was very welcoming, and spoke English well.

  The appartment was very clean and the accomodation was excellent (dishwasher, baking oven, satellite tv, etc.). There was also much space. Very convenient for our dog. The view from the balcony was superb. And the staff was very friendly. From Arolla you can start many walks. From beginner to advanced. Off course you can find what you need also in the small supermarket in Aroll
