The owner and his family are charming & very helpful The apartment
is typically Spanish, set right in the Old Town, with its narrow,
winding streets, where there are some lovely little shops. Just around
the corner from the apartments is a square full of great tapas bar, and
the beach is only a couple of minutes away.. -

The cosy apartment we had for 2 people had a terrace with a beautiful
view of the mountains and facing south, so we could fully enjoy the
October sunshine. Even though we were worried about the main road being
just behind the apartment, the noise was not disturbing at all and we
did not hear a sound at night. We could park the car right next door

the touristic neighbour village Pampeneira). The apartment is only a few

we were made very welcome by the kind lady on reception. the apartment was spacious and the views are stunning. the pool is also exceptional. The breakfast was included in our deal and was the best we had on our trip to Spain. would highly recommend this hotel.

All the staff were absolutely lovely. Really helpful and friendly and it made our stay so much nicer! I'd definitely go back again just because the staff were so good. - It was very near the skiing resort, the views from the breakfast room were beautiful, breakfast was very good and it was warm and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A beautiful vista of the Alhambra from the roof-top terrace (don't expect to have a good view from your window). We could also recommend the restaurant run by the family at 10 minutes walking distance.

Large room with excellent bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Perfect location for access to the pistes and all other resort facilities. The only hotel I will need for future trips to Sierra Nevada ! -

Excellent place to stay.
1. Great great location-I can't emphasise this more- right next to cathedral n all the impt buses- airport bus stops right in front and straight bus to train station as well. Great food places nearby and can walk everywhere!

We arrived thinking we had booked a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apt. The apts have only 1 bath, so we inquired about getting another apt. Ivonna made a few calls and the manager allowed us to rent another 2 bedroom and reduce the rate on the booked apt (they charge per person in most Spainish properties) so that for 2 apartments (2bed/1bath) the total came to 20 euros less for our stay!!!!

Very central to everything although very noisy at night with studentsgathering in street outside at 3.00am and making a lot of noise. Very friendly staff, made us feel welcome right from the start. Perfectly good room with sea view. Bit of a hike to the town, but we like that. And if you need to take your car, parking in Almunecar (very interesting non touristy town) is free (apart from the underground multi storeys) until July.

Beautiful view of the city, Quadix with the Sierra Nevada in the background. Nice swimming pool. Excellent on site restaurant with the best value for fine dining in Spain. - The staff were very helpful and friendly. The cave was favlous with the wonderful log fire and comfy beds. Would be perfect for a romantic retreat.

The location of the hotel for exploring the area is great.
Added to this the rooms are incredibly spacious and a large balcony with mountain views.
Nothing can be better than after a day of hiking to be able to relaxing this type of comfort and tranquility.

La Fragua 11 is set in a lovely location. The room was very spacious, clean and with a lovely terrace overlooking the mountains.
Staff were very friendly and with lots of knowledge of the surrounding areas, good if you want to do some walking.
The restaurant, which is just 2 minutes down the road was truly excellant.
Very good regional dishes,and very efficient staff and ambiance.
Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Palomares. The owner was one of the nicest people we have met . He even came out onto the street to introduce himself and to welcome us to his hotel. It's very obviously that the owner is very proud of his business and rightly so. A small typically Spanish hotel with amazing service. Fantastic position, close to pistes and lifts. Warm welcome and excellent clean accommodation. Corridors and communal areas noisy due to school parties but plenty of space and well designed to cope with large groups. Friendly and adequate staffing.
