  The pension was spotlessly clean. My room was stylish and modern which isn't always that case in Spain! The bed was really comfortable and there wasn't much noise from other rooms which was great. Pilar (who I think is the owner?) and the other staff were so helfpul and welcoming - they had lots of suggestions for things to do and helped me sor... что говорят » t travel for next parts of my trip. It's really close to the Playa de Conca but in a quiet street so not lot of noise. It's definitely a step up from - The 'pension' is a delight. It is a small, family run enterprise in a back street, about four hundred yards from the main beach and eight hundred yards from the old town. It is spotlessly clean, recently refurbished and well run. The boss greets you on your arrival, sees to your very need and helps you with directions to a private, secure car park facility one hundred yards away. I would go back tomorrow - or whenever I next go to San Sebastián.

  We spent the day in San Sebastian on the worst of possible days: terribly cold, rainy, stormy weather and the famous strike with everything imaginable closed: no bar or restaurant open to get a drink or lunch! Then we got to pension Garate and a most helpful and friendly young lady who spoke English very well welcomed us. The lady booked for us dinner closeby at restaurant Narru (from hotel Niza- an - The room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony, which was great. The accommodation was in an excellent location, very close to the beach, and walking distance to all of the sights of San Sebastian. The staff were extremely helpful. I was feeling unwell the day after we arrived, and the lady at the Pension directed us to a very good medical centre. The staff also agreed to allow us to pick up our bags late in the evening (after we had checked out), due to us having to catch a late overnigh

  We enjoyed our stay at the Zaragoza Plaza; this small hotel is well located (step away from La Concha beach and close to the old city), and in a quiet area just in front of the Zaragoza Plaza.   Nice, bright and clean room on the 5th floor, loved the little balcony facing the street. Quiet area, but still close to everything. Joakina herself was very nice and welcoming, and so was her son. Some people have complained about her being around all time, but we only saw her on arrival and the day we left.   The location is superb, merely blocks from the beach, and surrounded by bars, restaurants and cafes. The city itself is small and rather walkable, with beautiful views of the bay. The hotel is short walk from Gros, which has some amazing restaurants, Donostarria in particular. Parking can be an issue. I would also recommend ta - I liked the unique exposed beams and the stone in the room. I liked that they had ear plugs in the room for you in case it got too loud at night to sleep. But the noise is only from outside, you could not hear anything beside you or above you. Noise is not a factor in just this hotel, because the entire area is full of hotels and restaurants, so people are walking and talking throughout the streets. It is very centrally located and convenient.

  Really sweet and cosy, staff were great showed us where to go and recommended nice places to eat and really friendly! Decided to stay an extra night!   Couldn't possibly get a better location, right in the heart of the old city and within walking distance to everything. Staff are really friendly and gave us such a warm welcome and farewell. Don't be put off by shared bathrooms - 3 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms means no waiting and it seriously felt like the bathrooms were cleaned after every use. The pension is on door step of some amazing food granted with this location there was some night street noise. Shared bathroom never an issue here as many bathrooms for bedrooms.
