  The staff and the showers - I was at Hotel Bilbi for a day in December 08.It was a nice place to stay, warm and quiet. A few steps away from the river, the old town centre. My room was excellent, very good price value ratio. Friendly and very helpful staff, they gave best info at any time.I'll return to Bilbi Jan 09 and ever so.

  This didn't feel like any other hotel, it was like you were staying in someone's home - from the decor to the breakfast to the way we were treated. The double room we got was very comfortable and it looked like a little cottage in the city. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English). The room was so homey-it was nice to go out in the rain and go "home" to a warm and comfortable room. The heaters worked quickly and the room was large and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good-tea/coffee and an assortment of bread products (and fruit and yogurt, if desired).   The room is inside a student residence and looked brand new. It was spacious with a nice bathroom and there was also a cooking area with kitchen utensils. There is a communal area on the ground floor where you can meet other travellers. The men on the reception were very friendly and helpful. It is easy to walk to the Guggenheim from the residence and it is also close to Abando station. - Close to train station and old town. Lovely helpful man on reception that spoke English and gave us information. Also moved us to a different room on request. Free wifi. This place is uni halls of residence, so rooms are small with single beds, but you have bathroom with shower +clothes line over it, and little kithchen area with cooking hob, microwave and fridge. We really value the small things like being able to make a cup of tea when you want one.

  For the money, it was one of the most spacious and bright rooms I have had for the category. The criticisms that this place got was minor and I don't get it. One side of the room is floor to ceiling windows. Really light and bright. Clean and spacious for the price. Right in the Old Town close to bars and restaurants and you can walk everywhere. The outside of the pension has p** on it even though the name is - Location couldn't have been better, right in the old town. Staff were lovely, though English isn't really spoken they will do their best to communicate. Room was really nice. Breakfast isnt' fancy but it is adequate (Tea, coffee, toast, ceral and pastry) Entry is via buzzer only and you need to leave room key in reception when you leave.
