  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The hotel itself is beautiful and kept up. Our room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the Cathedral. Staff was very accommodating and recommended excellent restaurants.   The aparment is lovely, in a wonderful location, with a great view over the Puerto Viejo (Port Vell) and a nice terrace to enjoy the view with a glass of wine. It has all appliances you may need, it's very clean and we had no noise on the bedroom, so perfect for a good night sleep. It was perfect, spotlessly clean, light, not noisy. They cleaned the room several times a day.
