  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The hotel itself is beautiful and kept up. Our room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the Cathedral. Staff was very accommodating and recommended excellent restaurants.   The rooms are all individually designed and very unique. We stayed in the Ibiza room and the bed was very comfortable. The owner Fleur was the extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Upon arrival and each morning we were also given homemade cakes which were amaxing and a lovely touch! The location is close - Salsas and Co is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and Fleur could not be more helpful or welcoming. I really can’t fault the place, it represents exceptional value for money. It is well situated for easy access to the Bus, Tram, Tourist Bus and Metro systems and is within walking distance of the centre. I would not hesitate to stay here again (in fact we plan to return soon) and I will be recommending to friends.

The staff were very helpful and you can help yourself to coffees and pastries in the afternoon free of charge which is a nice little extra. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again as it was great.

  The hotel had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It was in an excellent location to the marina and also very easy to travel into city centre. The staff were very professional. We had our dinner in the hotel a couple of nights from room service and it was lovely and very reasonably priced.   Very quiet room. Great value for money. Good design. A small suite with separate bedroom for 100$ per day! Easy access to metro line 4 (Bogatell) or Line 1 (Marina). Not far from the beaches. Mar Bella is only two stops (Poblenou) and a 10 minute walk. Direct by metro to old Barcelona in only a few stops (Jaume I).
