Set against a dramatic rock cliff, overlooking a gorge and lush green valley, this traditional African-themed lodge provides comfortable accommodation within over 7500 acres of terrain in Grahamstown.

Taking its name from the Zulu word for ‘rock’, the Idwala Game Lodge is set on the malaria-free Eastern Cape. The area offers wonderful scenery and the opportunity to witness some of Africa’s most famous wildlife, including rhinos and elephants, in their natural habitat.

With only 4 thatched spacious chalets, privacy is assured. Each one is air conditioned and features a private patio and en suite bathroom with shower. Unwind in the lounge, read a book in the library or relax at the pool, enjoying the sweeping views.

By Car:
From Port Elizabeth:
- Take the N2 to Grahamstown.
- Exit at the Sidbury turn-off.
- The Idwala Lodge turn-off is 7 km further.

If cancelled up to 60 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
