  We really enjoyed our stay at Basse Provence. It is a beautiful house nestled amongst the vineyards and with a great view of the mountains. We felt very welcome there and the accomodation was clean and comfortable and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating and made sure we felt at home. The location is beautiful, surrounded by the winelands and the mountains and the accommodation itself was wonderful. Our room was spacious and under the thatched roof and the staff were very helpful. This was our favourite place to stay whilst we were in South Africa and we would thoroughly recommend it!

  My wife and I spent five nights at the Akademie. We stayed in Ooirtgung Cottage (spelling probably not correct) which has a lot of history and is very charming; slightly secluded from the main house and other cottages it was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic; plentiful (need to diet now) and a real treat. Staff wer - -the room was just perfect: bright, clean, excellent furnitures taste. - home made food for breakfast - complementary drinks and snacks in the room - availability of the staff - perfect location in the city center

  Wonderfully warm welcome from Sharon our host. Fabulous large bedroom and big bathroom. All so beautifully done. Close to the high street and the wonderful selection of restaurants that Franschhoek has to offer. Nothing too much of a problem....Sharon even took some laundry to try and get it dry cleaned for me.
