Our host attended to all our travel needs while in the canyon, booking a private taxi to Cruz del Condor one fabulous morning (5 hours), a guide for a hike and horseback riding. His wife is a chef and made delicious simple dinners in the evening, a sandwich for lunch. Very reasonably priced. It's a quiet very rural place (no Wifi which we did not mind) and staying in the village of Yanque and seeing the canyon for a few nights was the perfect way to end our independent tour - right up there wit
