  There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular. I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise.
