There are three flyss buss stops very close - only 40€ to get to downtown Bergen (fish market, the mountain tram, train station) The breakfast was delicious, the room very comfortable - I found the price one of the best in Bergen ...   It was a good hotel, close to the centre and that is wat I wanted when Iwas looking for a hotel. Loved the internet access - It is close to the center and very hand to use during the weekend out with friends.I also like the idea to have breakfast outsie the door to be consumed when I feel like it.

  There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular. We had taken it as a stopover before our trip of the Fjords, the hotel was a great place to spend the night specially since we traveled from Oslo and reached late, there were enough places to grab a bite even at 11 in the night.

Too often nowadays the check-out time is 10am. Free biscuits and coffee/tea/hot chocolate from the vending machine in the lounge. The lounge/breakfast room were beautiful.
