The room was large, pleasant and tastefully decorated. Everything worked, the room was clean and airy. The bed was comfortable. Staff in reception were friendly and helpful. We were very surprised by the comfort and value of this place, overall the best deal we could made in Sicilia in summertime. Walking distance (15 min) to the old part of Siracusa (Ortigia). Quiet and big comfortable rooms, everything looked quite new. Good breakfast.

We were upgraded to a suite for the room price, the chef cooked to order for us on two occasions, the meals were delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful - The Spa like attitude of the hoteland the way it was set up.The resturant was excellant.

What a great hotel! The sea view from our room was spectacular! Hotel is really in the heart of it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some have commented on the lack of parking but the reality of the tiny island of Ortygia is that driving the narrow streets *barely* wide enough for 1 car is a challenge. We loved the location in the old city, the breakfasts were fair,the woman serving the breakfasts was lovely. we never saw the reception staff after our arrival, which was a shame as our air conditioner was very noisy so we couldn't sleep with it on and it was very hot. Apart from that the room was great. we loved the terrace. The market was great as was the swimming in the local beach.
