  The thing that really sells this little B&B (incidentally named after the town in Motalbano!) is the welcome and sincere friendliness of the owners, Catherina and Giovanni.They have little English and our Italian is not good but we got along just fine. They are lovely people and run this B&B with love and care for their guests.   Case Vacanze Ancora is a very nice place to be, if the weather is good enough. But when we visited the hotel, the weather was absolutely terrible. We had a nice apartment on second floor with a view over the swimming pool and to the beach. The chief in the kitchen was excellent.   Этим летом нам посчастливилось путешествовать по Сицилии. После поездки по Полермо, Катании, Марина де Рагуза, мы решили съездить на Лампедузу. Добраться до острова решили паромом, который ходит из Порто Эмпедокле. Перед тем как попась на паром, мы остановились на одну ночь в отели "Медетиранео". Это оказался уютный, домашний отель с приветливой и... что говорят » милой хозяйкой Сильвией. Несмотря на наш плохой итальянский Сильвия смогла нас понять и рассказал все об этом городке и о ближайших достопримечательн - Porto Empedocle is a good alternative to staying in Agrigento. It gives a visitor a small town experience in Sicily--very different from the cities. In the evening the whole town turns out in the cafes and the pedestrian Via Roma. Very good restaurants as well. A public bus provides easy access to the Greek temple site. It's the town where the playwright Pirandello grew up as did the mystery novel writer Camilleri whose main character is a policeman in a town like Porto Empedocle. - B&B is located in a quiet area near the central street only 2 min on foot. The rooms are spacious and the quality of furniture is good. Clean. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, who surprised us with pleasant  attitude and wonderful breakfast (we got ham, hot croissants, wonderful cappuccino). We liked this hotel best on our 7-day trip around Sicily. I strongly recommend to stay here.
