  The location was number 1, followed closely by a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Every single person I met in the hotel was nice and they went out of their way to orient me in Milan. The rooms were modern and spotless. I have already reccomended La Madoninna to everyone that mentions possibly going to Milan.   We spend 3 nights at this hotel and really liked it (well, we just slept there). Just a 20-minute walk from Stazione Centrale and another 30-40-minute walk from the Duomo. There are lots of shops, supermarkets and local restaurants and pizzerias (actually the one recommended by the hotel manager was great!). The breakfast was disappointing but ok for a quick snack and the cof - This is an owner managed hotel and it is thus very good as they have interest in providing good accommodation. Very friendly and helpful. Room on backside quiet. Would definitely stay again - only sorry we had not tried it on previous trips to Milan.

It was in a great location- across the street from a metro station that you could get on for a 5 minute trip to the duomo, across the street from the train station and only 3 or 4 blocks from one of the longest shopping streets in Milan. There are two (at least) computers in the hall that you can use for free.
