  We recently stayed at La Gensola in Trastevere and liked that it was in a good location for eating out on a night, loads of reasonably priced restaurants (pizza's for 4 euro's) Also walking distance to all the main sights - 30 mins to the Vatican/Colosseum and 15 mins to the Trevi Fountain. Washer and drying rack was very useful for such a long stay. We cooked many times in the nice kitchen. Loved the rain shower in the bathroom. Super location, close to restaurants, banks, bus, taxis. The location is very good: near the railway station Termini (it is especially great if you use the train to/from the airport), walking distance from the downtown and 1 min from metro.   Our host Giulia made Glatimia special. She is kind and thoughtful, and her English is great (a bonus). She helped us plan our days in Rome, and gave us some really helpful insider's tips, which saved us a lot of time. On the last day we had to check out early, so she prepared breakfast for us the day before, that we could keep in the fridge. Great staff, very friendly and helpful - suggestions for great neighbourhood restaurants, helped with taxi etc. Room was spacious, very clean and had everything needed. Lovely little sweet breakfast was served every day exactly at the time wished. Me and my mother, we definitely enjoyed the stay and I would recommend it any time. Grazie!

  i) For starters, Fawlty Towers is really close to Termini Station and this is quite an advantage for the average tourist who wishes to have quick and easy access to most of the city's areas. ii) Our room was cleaned and taken care of every day. The lobby and breakfast room are on the 5th floor. There are several other hotels on lower floors, which looked more upscale. Fawlty Towers is quite spartan with no frills, but the price was right. No hairdryer in the bathroom but there was one in a bathroom across the hall and one that can be borrowed from the desk. The

  Friendly staff, very helpful. Held our bags for us even after we had checked out. I noticed how clean it was, especially the bathroom! Very happy with our stay and the best part for us is that we felt very safe. Reception had to buzz us in so we could go upstairs to get to our room.
