  Really enjoyed our stay here. Just realize that European hotels are different from us cookie-cutter hotels. Tucked away from noisy tourist crowds. Charming small pensione with fantastic views.   We stayed at the Casanova apartment. The owner met us in the square where the apartment is and he was very friendly and showed us around the flat, gave us a map of the city, told us where the nearest vaporetto stop, supermarket etc is located. The flat is very central, only a few minutes walk from St Mark's square (must be the most crowded place... что говорят » I have ever seen in my life) and equally close to Rialto bridge. When I booked the place, reading all the reviews I was convinced there would be no - The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away.   The location is superb. Quiet square with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Easily walking distance to outlying areas as well as the tourist-centric sites. Breakfast is impressive - not like most Venetian hotels, there is an extensive breakfast with coffee barista! Bathrooms were huge with jaccuzzi tubs. In Venice, you don't always get what you pay for, but Palazzo Giglio delivers with luxury service - We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we were greeted with a fresh fruit basket on arrival plus a bottle of sparkling Italian wine. The breakfast was nicely presented and the location was just a few minutes walk to St Marks Square and only a couple of minutes from the Vaporetta.

Annalisa was very helpful with tips to visit places, restaurants etc. I would go again to the same B&B if I visit Venice in future.

Our room had a real baroque feeling which delighted my 16 year old daughter. The location was outstanding. Our room overlooked a canal and watching the gondoliers passing was an added bonus. It is 5 minutes from st Marks Square so it was so easy to see the amazing sites there but was also very peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved sitting on the little boat landing with my book and drink after a day sightseeing.
