  The location was excellent as expected however the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful...this was somewhat surprising after reading some poor reviews but very very welcome. - The Hotel was easily accessible from the Waterbus stop and near restaurants and bars.   The location is superb. Quiet square with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Easily walking distance to outlying areas as well as the tourist-centric sites. In Venice, you don't always get what you pay for, but Palazzo Giglio delivers with luxury service - We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we were greeted with a fresh fruit basket on arrival plus a bottle of sparkling Italian wine. The breakfast was nicely presented and the location was just a few minutes walk to St Marks Square and only a couple of minutes from the Vaporetta.

  Were able to sleep 5 in one room for the night, very affordable, in the heart of the city, and easy enough to get to from the airport via the Alilaguna water service. We did have to haul all our cruise luggage through the streets from the stop, and over 2 canals, but was worth it in the end for the location.
