  The hotel is very close to the Santa Maria Novella railway station and just 10-15 min. walk away from major sights. We had a very spacious corner room with high seilings, so it never got very hot and it was enough to switch the air conditioner on for a couple of hours in the evening to keep the room cool all night.   Good location, only about 20 min walk to main town and 5 min walk to central train station. Spacious rooms, but lacking proper wardrobe and coat hangers. It has a small kitchen anex, which was very convenient. The manager Elvis was very helpfull in trying to sort out the transport to Lajatico for us. I would also mention that when my wife and I just arrived, Ervis, a staff member gave us a thorough introduction about Florence, which was really help.   This is not really a hotel but an apartment that has been converted into bedrooms, some with en suite showers. We lucked out by having the one room with air-conditioning, an unexpected bonus.   We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. We got the room with a backyard view which was relatively quiet. I can imagine the street view rooms can be quite noisy. We were two but the room was for three so it was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was ok with hot water available at all times. The room was cleaned daily.   The owner was very helpful answering all my questions before we arrived and while we were there. We really appreciated him storing some luggage while we went to Venice for a few days. The location is great by the train station and still a convenient walk to the Duomo. The bed was firm, which I like, and room very clean. Very good value for the money and we surely would stay there once again.
