Metro VERY close to use for Vatican,Colosseum,etc. Had family room for 4 - seperate bed and a couch for 10 and 13 year-old kids, heavy curtain between kids' beds and adult bed, 2 balcony doors to view of St. Peter's, quiet and blinds/curtains for darkening.   One of the finest luxury hotels in Rome. Architecture at the highest level: a mixture between Renassaince and modernity. Very nice and height rooms with a spectacular ceiling. The best part of the hotel was the staff. I've never seen such a friendly staff. First off, the location was perfect. From the Piazza del Gesu you can walk everywhere on your tourist map. The only time we cabbed was to go back and forth to the Vatican. The service was excellent. We had some difficulty with the guy at the desk and no English, but it just added to the charm of knowing you were in Italy. The breakfast was enormous and catered to gluten free (as does everyone in Rome)

The staff friendly. Its is in a very covienient position near the metro so we were able to use this or walk to any virual any part of Rome.
