Our host Roberto, his wife and the staff were welcoming and took extra
care of our needs. We booked two single rooms and sometimes in the past
we have been allocated tiny, substandard rooms. The rooms at the Celio
were charming, clean and the location between the Colosseo and Laterano
was fabulous. This was the first time we have ventured out of the
Trevi/Tritone area. (We go to Rome each year over past 15 years and
this experience was one of our most enjoyable. Grazie Roberto!!

Room was about 100metres away from reception (different building) at the other end of building , opposite the street. Welcomed by a big roman wooden door, which was an unique experience. Room was big, shower with heater was working well. Real stone walls separate rooms from others, total isolation of peace.

Loved having breakfast delivered to our room at a time that we specified. fantastic location a couple of nice local restaurants, excellent value for money, friendly staff and a real treat. Its an old building and has loads of character. Don't expect 5 star luxury but this is perfect for a short break. Check out the local entertainment at the wood shop next door

Everything about the Hotel 47 experience was excellent, from the moment
we walked in to the moment we left. The location for a visit to Rome was
perfect for those whe enjoy walking around a city. It was close to many
of the major monuments, resteraunts, and public transport. The
accomodation was excellent with wonderful views over some of Rome's
ancient temples. The breakfast was very good and staff helpful.
