We arrived early from our previous hotel and were able to call and get
in early. The B&B is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of an
apartment building. While the room was being prepared, the wonderful
manager took out a map of Florence and provided a background to
Florentine history/culture, pointed out things not on tourist maps,
suggested lunch and dinner options and told us a bit about the area
where we were staying, filled with Florentine natives rather than
tourists. We'd been to Flore -
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Antonio who was wonderful! He oriented us to Florence, gave us a map, and made recommendations. He also recommended and helped us plan a day trip to Lucca. He helped us find train times and recommended a great restaurant. The room was large enough and each child had their own bed. It is so quiet at night and cooler than Florence. Dinner on the terrazza overlooking Florence. The antique everything. What better than a stay in a Medici Villa for a visit to Florence! You can buy bus tickets right there and hike up to the road to catch a bus. Nice 20 min walk to Fiesole, or you can take the bus. The room was excellent very spacious and clean. What made our stay perfect was the owner antonella- such a lovely lady. She was very helpful in what to see and recommended some great places to eat. Location was good easy to get around by bus or walking. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when back in florence.
