  This hotel was really nice and quiet. The walk to downtown attractions wasn't too bad and the railway station was close by. We received a room upgrade when we arrived, which was a very nice surprise. Breakfast included free sparkling wine, which was a nice touch.   We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Villa Tolomei. We had a junior suite with a fabulous view over the Tuscan countryside. Our room was vast and very luxurious. The breakfast was wonderful and varied so no one should be disappointed. You are in a 15th century Convent but everything has been tastefully renovated. The taxi's are frequent and staff will gladly call one, but don't be set on a price; - The hotel resort is a mix of both, renaissance and modern architecture. It is a wonderful jewel as a villa hotel resort. Beautiful high ceiling rooms with beautiful fresc, well designed for amalgamating both the old (restored professionnaly) and a sort of modern renaissance. Will definitely go back, the view and the Tuscany sunsets are unbelievable.
