My friend and I travelled to Florence for 4 days in March this year. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stanze del David. The welcome and hospitality were superb. We got to the hotel - had not contacted the hotel to inform what time we were arriving (perhaps you should, if you are arriving very early in the morning or late in the evening) - and we were glad to find a person waiting for us in a cafe just opposite the hotel. It is very clear that they want their guests to have the best and most comfortable experience possible. The location is top and though in the very heart of Florence the street noise is minimal. The entire B&B is impeccably clean and elegantly decorated, I felt like a princess in my room! The bed was so wonderful, as well as the view from it, that getting up in the morning was a bit difficult :). The . A lovely bed and breakfast in the center of Florence. Extremely quiet and completely new. Great amenities in the room (chargers, alarm clock, coffee machine, free snacks and drinks) and wonderful big towels. Breakfast in the cafe in front was wonderful too: good coffee and amazing bread. The staff was very accommodating: i had to leave my suitcase at the hotel and was given the keys so that i can retrieve it at my leisure, leaving the keys behind. We liked everything about this hotel. It is one of the finest hotels I've stayed in anywhere. Daniel and the entire staff were flawless in their execution. I cannot say enough good about this place. Perfect location, spotless and incredibly comfortable room with state of the art features. I would give it more than a 10 if possible...no doubt where we will be staying next time we visit Florence. The Illy coffee & tea for self-service was also welcome in the mornings. The owners & staff are exceptionally helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Being in the heart of the city centre, it was convenient and not as loud at night as we had expected. Fantastic and attentive host who catered for all our requirements. Stunning rooms that wow you as you enter. Comfy bed and great touch with free mini bar, we enjoyed prosecco in our room each night before we ventured out for our meal. Breakfast in local cafe is super and so easy. Location right in the heart of the city a real plus. Will definitely call here again. It was my second arriving and it was a big pleasure again to come and live in "Stanze del David"... The best place for guests of Florence in all meanings.... The room was very comfortable and the facilities provided - electric kettle, coffee maker, snacks and drinks and free breakfast were very welcome. The host was very friendly and helpful. The food was appallingly bad and an embarrassment to Italian cuisine. We left most of our pasta on our plates. Despite being high on fourth floor you do still hear the life of the city till late. Nothing. All was perfect. Nothing. Very slight drawback is the access to the whole bed and breakfast. Not the location. To get to the 4th floor B&B you either use the small elevator or walk up the steps. Not a problem unless at night when there is no lights in the stairwell and rather spooky. EASILY Resolved with a few lights or managed with a phone flashlight. This place is so exellcellent, I am not sure it could be improved ...... We loved everyting about it. Breakfast is (still?) not available on site but a tickect is provided for having a small snack at the bar down the road. Can no fault this hotel. Nothing!. Three different keys/locks to get to your room and dismal breakfast that was included with rate.
