The rooms were bright and clean and the hotel upgraded us to a Junior Suite because it was our wedding. They had some chocolate strawberries waiting for us in the room. The Radisson Blu 1919 is centrally located in downtown Reykjavik -- couldn't ask for a better location. Just a block away from the pedestrian area, and from the bus stop. The staff were always helpful and friendly in every way possible. Always. The rooms were very clean, with ample space. The breakfast buffet was really outstanding -- plenty of wonderful variety from which to choose. We felt very welcomed at all times here. That means a lot to us as travelers. Nice home-feeling place to stay with a family.
The lady of the house was extremely helpful and kind: she ordered us a tour plus a taxi to the airport since we wanted to save a bit time due to our early morning flight.
WI-Fi was nice; with our gadgets we could plan the next day in Reykjavik. -

All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around. They gave us great advice on the things to do and more importantly what not to do in terms of paying far too much for taxis and how to use the transport system. Hotel Laxnes is set in beautiful surroundings and we had an excellent stay there in October 2013! The staff is very kind and helpful, hotel was very clean with an excellent service!
