If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!! - from the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The service was great and very caring. The food throughout was wonderful and fresh - at all the establishments in the Polis Grand. They offerred the freshest and best buffet breakfast we have experienced so far in our European travels. Upon booking, I had requested a non-smoking room on a higher floor. When we checked in, we were given a room on a second floor that was a smoking room where everything was scented with nicotine. However the hotel were happy to accommodate us with this change when we checked in. The doors are double to the balcony which is good for the busy street. The non-smoking rooms are clean; however keep your bathroom door shut as the smell of nicotine can come up through the vents of other rooms. The brea
