The apartment owner was easy to contact and very helpful.
You could see part of the Berlin Wall from the bedroom windows.
Good location for transport links as near tube station and tram stop.

I do not normally blog about hotels.
But Matiss was a superb host, the apartment was clean, stunning, secure (4 bolted doors to access), a gorgeous little courtyard.
It was basic, but at £50 a day for your own place what do you expect, had a small kitchen, bathroom, when we ran out of linen (wet towels) Matiss dropped more.

short, the reality totally reflected the photos on the web-site. THe
room smelled fresh, neat and tidy, the location was also very good,
close to UBahn, with a supermarket in 2mins walk. The apartment had a
tiny kitchen for cooking, which I never used, but if you are travelling
with friends, it may come handy. The yard is closed, so it is really
very safe and very quiet.

We booked two appartments and both were very well equiped, clean and large enough for young people to hang out. I recommend this accommodation a lot. The staff was friendly. Prepare 10€ for deposit for a key and be aware of the fact that you will not be able to smoke neither in the room nor in the yard. But that does not matter so much. The locati

If you want a clean modern room on a budget it was very good although if you are looking for a social aspect wouldn't recommend. - Good location, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Museum Insel, etc also U-Bahn station Bernauerstrasse. Room was not overlooking street, so in a quiet position looking onto a small, albeit scruffy, garden/courtyard.

The location is perfect. Mitte is a great area with lots of vintage
stores, nice restaurants en great pubs. Within a couple of minutes you
walk to the river Spree, which runs through the hart of the city. Big
hotspots like Alexanderplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburger Tor,
Reichstag, Bundestag and Holocaust Denkmal are doable walking. I can
recommend this hotel to anyone!
