Very kind staff (although it's only available in person at certain hours, the rest of the time everything is done through machines or via phone, but it's not a problem as it's well organized). Who designed this place? No facilities beyond security, and when the plane is late there was nothing to eat or drink. This is an entirely utilitarian airport, with little range for eating, miles to walk and needs a complete - Location location location! Great location with train and plane access. Very modern design, rooms well appointed, comfy beds, clean, friendly, and good food. We overnighted in order to catch a flight, but spent the day in the city after checking in. Can't believe how quiet it is, we watched jumbo jets approaching for landing right outside the windows and couldn't hear them! If we hadn't seen them we would not have known they were there. Amazing.

  I have to say that the Hessischer Hof is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially the head waiter who accommodated us for dinner despite us not having a reservation, The room and public areas are furnished with real taste and style.   Reception was quick and efficient. Parking was available for an additional 8 Euros. Room was clean, orderly, and functional. The bar across the street was loud and woke us up in the middle of the night. Had the windowns open because it was hot. Once we closed it, we were able to get back to sleep.
