What is not to like about this place. David was an excellent host. His attention to dental re the room and bathroom was first class. The terrace outside our room to sit and have a quite drink, was an added bonus. -

Among the 5 hotels that I stayed during my trip in Europe, this was thebest, despite the fact that all the others were 3 or 4 star hotels. Thishotel definetely misses at least a star. The owner Bruno was very helpful during our stay at these amazing castle. The rooms were fantastic and huge. When it was very warm during our stay in Saumur the swimming pool was great. The castle is located just outside Saumur and it's easy to get into saumur which is a very nice town for shopping and have a lot of restaurants. The gates to the castle is also looked at nights so it feels really safe to have the car there.

We were welcomed on arrival by a delightful family, who made us feel very comfortable in their lovely home. Our hosts helped with places to eat in town, and had suggestions of more places to visit. The swimming pool was made available, and breakfasts were excellent. A very enjoyable 3 days.

Double glazing was excellent with little to no noise even though the
hotel is opposite the train station. Cost of room via letsbookhotel.com was
excellent. Included a basic breakfast. Good location with only a short
