We were thrilled with our stay at Chateau La Mourne. The owners welcomed us with a warm greeting, a glass of wine and a tour of the beautiful castle. The room we had was enormous with a comfy bed and a beautiful ornate decor.
To top it off, we are vegan (a very hard diet to follow in the small towns of France) and the owner went out of his way to find recipes and make us a delicious dinner including a beautiful chocolate cake.
Again attending to our dietary needs for breakfast, we had fruit,

We needed a hotel within 30 mins of Bordeaux airport on Sat morning and the chateau was perfect. We had a guided tour of the chapel and vineyard by Liz, who was charming and knowledgeable, as was her mother who looks after the B&B side of the business. Lovely breakfast.

Quirky, comfortable accommodation and extremely friendly hosts who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We had a lovely, tasty meal with them and they really went out of their way to get something for our fussy 8 year old to eat. It was a great start to our French holiday. -

Probably one of the best budget hotels we have stayed in. The outdoor pool was a pleasant surprise after a long drive on a hot day, We chose the superior room which was very spacious, had air con., excellent coffee maker, fridge and very comfortable bed. The room was spotless with a large bathroom. Unusually for a hotel at this price there was fully functional air conditioning and a swimming pool. Breakfast was adequate for the price. We were heading south the next day and the hotel was only 3 minutes from the route.

This boutique hotel is a modern beautifully kept property very handy to the river walk and the head of Rue St. Catherine, the major shopping street. The Staff were incredibly helpful. Rooms were small but very comfortable and the bathroom design is awesome. Internet via TV worked flawlessly. -
