Owners made us especially welcome; we felt like personal guests in the home of a particularly hospitable couple. Huge room & bathroom. Lovely grounds & great views across the Seine valley. Although they do not provide dining facilities, other than for breakfast, the owner booked us a table at a local Auberge which had a superb traditional French menu and was a wonderful dining experience. Perfect location for visiting Monet's Garden. все обзоры »
Wonderful wooded location overlooking the Seine. Bedroom & bathroom what one would expect in a chateau - fabulous!! Breakfast first class- plenty of choice and quantity. Paul & Marie couldn't have been more welcoming & friendly. Recommended & booked for us a superb restaurant for our evening meal. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
We love everything about Chatequ de la Madeleine. Beautiful surroundings in an enchanted setting. Our room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was set for a king and his queen, and Paul and Marie were delightful hosts. It was a wonderful experience, that we won't soon forget, and one that we would highly recommend to all!.
The location is amazing.
The Chateau is steeped in history and oozes romance and charm.
Paul is a dedicated host, interesting and kind.
Marie has a great grasp of the English language...many thanks for all the recomendations for dinner and things to do and see.
Thank you both ...not to mention the delighful Fripouline..:).
We loved the expansive grounds, spacious rooms, old world ambience, pleasant hosts, views. Marie made us feel like we were guests in her home and allowed our children to run around inside and outside, play with their Jack Russell puppy. Also, the location is less than 10 km from Monet's house and garden.
The couple that own the Chateau are adorable and are very casual, laid back and approachable. They are willing to have a chat but also know when to give you your privacy. They say that a man's home is his castle, well this castle really felt like a home. Highly recommend it!.
Proximity to Giverny but in a peaceful location with a view of the Seine. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. There was a separate room for my daughter. The décor, architecture and furnishings were beautiful and in keeping with the age of the chateau.
Location, the setting were beautuful. We were well looked after by our hosts Paul and Maria and had superb breakfast each morning. Kids loved wondering about the grounds and playing with the little puppy. All in all we had a fantastic stay.
The hosts Paul and Marie were absolutely charming - loved the twinkle in Paul's eyes and the history of the chateau. Very near Giverny and excellent restaurants close by...
exquisite location, wonderful couple couldnt do enough for us, super friendly, stunning and beautiful. Breakfast was like being a princess in a palace!.
The atmosphere of the old castle.
we only stayed one night..................!!!!.
You need a car to get around.
Could do with Coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
The transition from private castle to hotel is underway. The prepared parts are lovely; the ones that are not, well, it does not matter since you aren't allowed there anyway!.
The hosts made us hot drinks but I think it would be good to have a kettle in the bedroom.
No Banister on the stairs gave me a bit of a heart attack with 3 small children. But so long as you are with them on the stairs its not a worry.
might be slightly worried their with a toddler but my children are 12 and 14 so absolutely no problems!.
