It was everything it said it would be. V.Friendly staff, small, neat and clean, adequate-sized room, cleaned daily, even Sunday. Location was ideal - near Marais and also near bars in Oberkampf. - The staff was excellent.....very helpful....and the location was veryconvenient

Recently renovated.
Sure a good choice for paris. -
it was clean and close to 3 metro stops with alot of bars and resturants around it. staff was very friendly which do speak english will recommand it to others

It turns out the General Hotel was overbooked, so they rebooked me into another hotel, member of the same chain, Le Quartier Bastille. This place has a GREAT location. It is very close to transportation. There are ATMs, very good shopping (especially men's clothing on Rue Turenne near the hotel), great restaurants (try Beaucoup on Rue Froissart around the corner), and necessary things like a pharmacy, market, laundry all within half a block. Breakfast is spartan, but adequate.

The staff was extremely helpful. The location of the hotel couldn't be any better, just a few minutes away from the metro stop Froissart, which is on a very useful metro line. You have direct access to Opera and Champs Elysees. Place des Vosges and small boutiques in Marais are within walking distance. The breakfast was included in the price and it was good. Our room was quite spacious by Paris standards. This hotel will be my first choice next time I visit Paris!

The staff were really helpful and were happy to put our stroller in the cloak room each night so we didn't have to struggle with it in the tiny elevator. Also we had left a small item behind and they were happy to post it back to us.
The rooms are small, but it was enough for our little 18 month old to roam around and stretch his legs. The bathrooms are nice and clean. We didn't pick the breakfast option as it's down in the basement when Paris is just outside. Free Nespresso coffee in the l

This hotel gives you exactly what you pay for. If you want to spend a lot of your holiday in your hotel room, I would not recommend it. However, if it is a place to rest your head on a budget, then it is perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful and are happy to communicate in English. This is a great little hotel - just don't expect the Ritz. -

Good, safe neighborhood. 1 minute away from small metro stop, 5 minutes away from major metro stop. Very comfy beds. EXCELLENT staff at front who were very helpful and knowledgeable. Always felt safe there. Also, adorable puppy who is at the front desk most of the time... Brightened my day!
