  - Rooms were quite basic but clean and well cared. - The rooftop and pool didn't look so great on the hotel's pictures but they actually are super nice!!! The view from the rooftop is beautiful (view on the beach and Corcovado's Statue) and the pool is just perfect when the temperatures are high. - Breakfast buffet was good overall (not excellent... что говорят » but good for the value) - Free wi-fi - Helpful staff at the front desk speaking english - The location was really convenient (1 min walking from the - We couldn't fault our stay here. The rooms were lovely and they even upgraded us from a standard to a superior suite. The roof top pool was a little oasis in the middle of rio and had fantastic views over the ocean. Staff and breakfast were great. The location was perfect for anyone wishing to stay at copacobana- right behind the copacobana palace (nicest hotel in rio) but for 1/2 the price. Highly recommend.

  Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Staff at reception was efficient and spoke good english, cleaning was very good and the breakfast was delicious.   The Staff was very helpfull and very friendly. The location is great and the room very spacious . I would stay again withouy a second though .   I was a bit worried, after reading some negative reviews here, but the hotel was actually quite good, for Rio standards at least. The standard room I had needed some redecorating for sure, but it was very spacious and had a fantastic city view. I was up on the 18th floor, so it was not noisy at all, but it might be more for the lower floors.
