  I was a bit worried, after reading some negative reviews here, but the hotel was actually quite good, for Rio standards at least. The standard room I had needed some redecorating for sure, but it was very spacious and had a fantastic city view. I was up on the 18th floor, so it was not noisy at all, but it might be more for the lower floors.   We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. We had a large group of 6 (2 seniors and 2 children under 9) which made for some difficult logistics when traveling and the staff here made everything easy. This is a great place to stay and will do it again. - The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. - Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms. Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise. Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good service without being ripped off.

  I was upgraded to an ocean view room. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a magnificent view - as had the gym and the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was excellent, as would be expected for a hotel of its level. The gym was very well equipped. Location is excellent - right across from the beach. He was genuine and sincere of our needs and surprised us with champagne when he found out it was our 20 years wedding anniversary.   The Staff was very helpfull and very friendly. The location is great and the room very spacious . I would stay again withouy a second though . Additionally there was always someone on duty who spoke very good English! Location on Impenama Beach was perfect although it has less "nightlife" than the popular Cococabana Beach. Impanema Beach is a much prettier beach & we were never concerned about safety.

  We stayed at the sol Ipanema for 3 nights at the beginning of March. We chose a deluxe sea view room and it didn't disappoint. We were on the 11th floor and had fabulous views in both directions. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning and had 2 evening meals in the restaurant, the second time... что говорят » because the rain was too heavy to venture out! Both meals were of a good quality. Other guests commented on the small rooftop pool but quite frankly - Incredible location..very clean and nice rooms. Though I had to wait about an hour to check in but the front desk infact particularly Mr. Leonardo was kind enough to check me into a spacious sea view room though I had a mountain view booking. The lobby is quite comfortable and they serve you very well and too be true very well priced. The roof top bar & pool again are a joy giving a breathtaking view of the beach all around. To sum up a great place to stay and I would return soon..
